A neuropsychological evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of how the brain is functioning across a range of skills. It helps clarify diagnoses, identify strengths and areas of vulnerability, and guide practical next steps at home, in school, and in treatment.
Common referral questions
- Is ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, or a learning disorder contributing to current difficulties?
- Why is there a gap between potential and performance?
- What accommodations (IEP/504, standardized testing) may be appropriate?
- How can treatment and school supports be targeted more effectively?
- Are medical/neurological factors playing a role (e.g., epilepsy, prematurity, complex medical history)?
